From a Brooklyn backyard
Wheated started as a dream among friends building a pizza oven in a backyard in Brooklyn, New York. Four years later, the original location opened in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, and it has earned its place among the top pizza destinations in New York City.
Wheated Louisville opened in the Highlands in 2024 to bring that same genuine New York pizza experience to Kentucky. The friends who built that first oven came together again to bring the same sourdough crust, the same thoughtfully sourced ingredients and the same obsession with pizza.

What makes Wheated New York-style pizza?
Wheated started as friends building a pizza oven in a backyard in Brooklyn, and the original location opened in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. Wheated Louisville was created to bring that same New York pizza experience to Kentucky, with sourdough crust, a NY Slice Style Pie on the menu, and pizzas named for Brooklyn neighborhoods.
What are your hours?
We are open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 10 pm and Sunday from 5 to 9 pm. We are closed Monday and Tuesday.
Do you take reservations?
Reservations are available for the 5:00 pm seating only, for parties up to 8. Please call (502) 963-5616 to book.
Do you have vegetarian pizzas?
Yes. Vegetarian pizzas are marked (v) on our menu, and white pies without tomato sauce are marked (w).
Can I host a private event?
